Metropolitan Museum of Art: Seurat's Circus Sideshow
The "Circus Sideshow" is an exhibit, along with 17 other works, that explores the excitement of this popular entertainment at the end of the 19th century. The paintings show colorful urban Paris during the day and night, a juxtaposition to the Impressionists who preferred to paint the sunlit banks of the Seine. Seurat uses his incredible technique to create these masterpieces!
